Personal data processed during communication and the performance of services

General information

We collect the information you provide to Us when you contact Us, register as a user on the training portal on the Website, register for Our training or modular courses, when you use the training portal or when you apply for a job with Us.

This includes general personal data, e.g. name and contact details, and if applicable, details of your position or role with the organisation on whose behalf you are contacting Us. When you register for courses or further education, you also provide Us with details of your previous education and professional experience. You also specify your preferred payment method and billing address. In some cases, We also process personal data that We receive from third parties, e.g. from your employer if it registers you for advanced training.

Participation in advanced training or courses

If you participate in advanced training or courses, We or third parties (e.g. lecturers or the course management) collect course-related or exam-related personal data, e.g. information on courses attended or exams taken and your exam results.

Your name and details of your role with the organisation or company you work for will be included in a list of participants. We will make these available to other participants to facilitate professional networking. Please let Us know if you do not want this

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that We, lecturers or service providers commissioned by Us occasionally take photographs or video recordings as part of courses, advanced training or events at the FM Academy. At the most, you can be recognised on them. If you do not want any close-up pictures of yourself, you can tell the person taking the pictures at the location.

We create the recordings primarily for internal use. Internal means that the recordings are used within the FM Academy and by the course or training participants. This enables lecturers and participants to track and evaluate learning progress and exchange impressions about activities at the FM Academy. We will only publish photographs and video recordings on the Website if you have agreed to this in writing in advance. Consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Job application as lecturer

When you apply for a position as a lecturer, in addition to your name and contact details, We collect your CV and other information about your qualifications, which you submit to Us as part of your application file.

Provision and use of Our Website and the training portal

Use for information

You can find out about FM Academy and Our range of services on the Website without telling Us who you are.

As with any connection to a web server, the server on which We provide the Website automatically logs and stores certain technical data for a short period of time. This includes the IP address and operating system of your device, the date and time of use and the type of browser you use to access the Website.

Use of the training portal

We provide a training portal for course or advanced training participants. When you register on the Website as a user of the training portal, We collect the information you provide to Us. This includes general personal data such as name and contact details as well as personal information that you enter, store and process when using the training portal.

Web analysis

We use web analysis services (currently Google Analytics) to evaluate the use of the Website and to obtain information for its optimisation. The web analysis services We use collect and store user data by means of cookies. Before they are transmitted to a server outside of Switzerland/EU/EEA, the requesting IP addresses are truncated.

Resources of external websites

We include resources from external servers on Our Website. These contain visible content (videos from YouTube and maps from Google) as well as technical resources (reCAPTCHA). When these resources are accessed, the operator of the external servers learns your IP address and/or certain marginal data that are required for utilising the external operator's servers.
